A historian’s work requires the mastery of a number of skills—including thinking analytically; evaluating, organizing, and synthesizing evidence to construct meaningful narratives; and communicating them clearly orally and in writing—that are highly applicable across a range of career paths. History majors go on to become educators, archivists, researchers, lawyers, television and film writers, business leaders, and government officials. History opens a door and you decide what career lies on the other side.
