2026 Wellness Pledge

2025 WELLNESS PLEDGE

Earn $250 incentive upon completion of Phase 1 & Phase 2 

Starting in 2026, penalties will be removed from the Wellness Pledge. Incentive payments will be received at the end of each phase upon successful completion.

If Phase 1 is not completed, participants will not move to Phase 2 and will not receive the $150 incentive payment. If Phase 2 is not completed, participants will not receive the $100 incentive payment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be enrolled in Murray State’s health plan - AND -
  • Must elect Pledge during Open Enrollment 2026.
  • Participants who do not complete Phase 1 will not be eligible for Phase 2.
  • Participants must be employed to receive payment.

Phase 1: JAN 1, 2026 – MAY 31, 2026 

  • Complete and/or attend 4 Racer Wellness sanctioned events, activities and screenings.

  • Phase 1 Deadline: May 31, 2026 • $150 paid in June 2026 for successful completion of Phase 1*
    (10/11-month pay EEs will receive Phase 1 payment in August 2026)
    *Phase 1 incentive payment: Participants must be employed in June 2026 to receive payment.

  • HDHP plan members receive $150 in HSA account

  • PPO plan members receive $150 discount on January premium

Phase 1 Options

You must complete and/or attend 4 Racer Wellness sanctioned events, activities and screenings during January 1, 2026 – May 31, 2026 (with the exception of preventive screenings that backdate to June 1, 2025). This list may be added to throughout the year.

2026 Wellness Pledge Screening Requirements:

  1. Screenings must be filed through Murray State University insurance.
  2. Screenings must take place between June 1, 2025 – May 31, 2026.
  3. Proof of preventive screenings will be obtained through name only reports from Murray State benefit vendors. This means that Wellness Pledge participants' preventive screenings must be processed through health, vision and/or dental benefit offerings in order to receive Phase 1 credit. 

Acceptable Preventive Screenings 

  • Annual wellness visit
  • Cervical cancer screening (women's exam)
  • Cholesterol screening
  • Colon cancer screening
  • Dental examination
  • Dermatology skin screening
  • Diabetes screening (fasting glucose)
  • Heel scan bone density screening
  • Mammogram
  • Prostate cancer screening (PSA)
  • Vision screening
  • Freedom From Smoking courses are offered locally and completion of the course will count for a sanctioned event.
  • Racer Wellness must receive documentation of completion from the course instructor.

Complete one of the many available training courses on the .

  1. Access the , login or create a login and click on “training courses”.
  2. Submit the certificate of completion (generated at the end) to msu.racerwellness@murraystate.edu for Wellness Pledge credit.

Complete 6 Hinge Health Sessions

  • 6 sessions must be completed between January 1, 2026 - May 31, 2026 to count for one event for Phase 1.
  • Visit the to learn more and sign up.
  • Upon completion of your 6 sessions, visit the to fill out the dates of your 6 sessions and submit it to msu.racerwellness@murraystate.edu

  • Eligible faculty and staff who participate in an Omada program can count 6 Omada touchpoints as an event for Phase 2. Touchpoints must take place between June 1, 2026 – September 30, 2026.

Let's Move! Lunch Break Walking Group

Wednesdays - April 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 | 11–11:30 a.m. (check-in)

  • Faculty and Staff are invited and encouraged to join Racer Wellness in walking on campus during the month of April
  • Racer Wellness will have a sign-in table every Wednesday in April set up by the MSU Gates from 11–11:30 a.m.
  • Upon sign-in, walking routes and times will be determined by each individual
  • Attending the Walking Group will count as a maximum of one sanctioned event (regardless of how many weeks are attended) for Phase 1 of the 2026 Wellness Pledge
  • If there is inclement weather, the event will be cancelled

Phase 2: JUN 1, 2026 – SEP 30, 2026  

  • Complete and/or attend 2 Racer Wellness sanctioned events and activities

  • Phase 2 Deadline: September 30, 2026 • $100 paid in October 2026 for successful completion of Phase 2* 

*Phase 2 incentive payment: Participants must be employed in October 2026 to receive payment. Complete details are at murraystate.edu/racerwellness. Reasonable alternatives and accommodations will be made available in compliance with HIPAA and ADA.

Primary Care Provider (PCP) Campaign

September 1,  2026 - September 30, 2026 

We are asking faculty and staff to consider establishing a PCP. The campaign includes the following options:

  • Choosing a provider and scheduling an appointment for a preventive screening that is needed for you.
  • If you already have a PCP, determine if you are up to date on all preventive screenings. If you are behind on a screening, contact your provider to schedule an appointment.
  • If you are taking the 2026 Wellness Pledge, this campaign will count for Phase 2 by completing the .
